Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains what WageClear does and does not collect, and how third-party advertising works on this site. In short: the numbers you type into our calculators stay on your device.

Your calculator inputs never leave your browser

Every calculation on WageClear runs locally in your web browser using JavaScript. When you enter a wage, salary, or number of hours, that information is processed on your own device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. We do not have a database of user pay figures because we never receive them. You can confirm this: the tools keep working even if you disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not request your name, email, employer, or any personal identifier to use the calculators. We do not sell personal information, because we do not gather it in the first place.

Advertising and Google AdSense

WageClear is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to WageClear and other sites on the internet.
• These advertising cookies are set by third parties and are not controlled by WageClear. The pay figures you enter into our calculators are not shared with advertisers, because those figures never leave your browser.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also learn about your choices and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over advertising cookies, and consent controls may appear when required by law.

Cookies and local storage

WageClear itself does not use cookies to track you across sites, and it does not require cookies to function. Any cookies present are set by our advertising partners as described above. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time; blocking advertising cookies will not stop the calculators from working.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used and to improve the site. Any such analytics measure traffic patterns in aggregate and are not used to identify individuals or to collect the figures you enter into the calculators.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external resources, such as government labor departments. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any site you visit.

Children's privacy

WageClear is intended for a general, adult audience of workers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves or as advertising and legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
